- Accumulator
- A single bet that links multiple selections; all must win for the bet to pay out, and the odds multiply together.
- Arbitrage
- Betting on all possible outcomes across different bookmakers to guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for betting activities.
- Cash Out
- A feature allowing you to settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Cashback
- A promotion that returns a portion of your net losses as bonus funds, giving you a second chance to play.
- Decimal Odds
- A single number that includes your stake in the total payout; for example, 2.50 means a $1 bet returns $2.50.
- Deposit Bonus
- A match of your deposit with bonus funds, often requiring you to wager the bonus a set number of times before withdrawal.
- Fractional Odds
- Odds expressed as a fraction, such as 3/1, where the numerator shows profit and the denominator shows the stake.
- Free Bet
- A promotional credit you can use to place a bet without risking your own money, usually subject to certain conditions.
- Handicap Betting
- A bet that gives one team a virtual advantage or disadvantage to create equal chances, reflected in adjusted odds.
- In-Play Betting
- Betting on a match while it is happening, with odds that change as the game progresses.
- KYC
- Know Your Customer – the process of verifying your identity and age to comply with regulations and prevent fraud.
- Moneyline Odds

- RTP
- Return to Player – the percentage of total money wagered on a game that is paid back to players over time.
- Staking Plan
- A strategy that determines how much to bet on each wager based on your bankroll and perceived value.
- Unit
- A standard-sized bet used to manage risk, typically a small percentage of your bankroll.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving you an edge.
- Vig
- The commission built into odds by a bookmaker, ensuring the sportsbook makes a profit over the long term.
- Volatility
- A measure of how much a game's payouts fluctuate; high volatility means big wins happen rarely, while low volatility means smaller, more frequent payouts.
- Wagering Requirement
- The number of times you must bet a bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings from that bonus.
